Hello everyone,
I've been actively playing on t9k's survival server for a few months now and I figure a late introduction would be better than none. So, without further adieu here are a few things about me.
I have been a computer gamer since the days of commodore 64. Back then we tape loaded software which took 30 minutes or so. My favorite c64 game was Conan (trust me it was bad ass for back then) check it out here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doqBfPfLVA0
Of course I upgraded to the Atari later on. This is before the term "console system" was invented so they still were called computers. Atari 2600 for the win!! I reset the score on asteroids three times on one life once. the score only went to 9999 and it restarted at 0 and the game got harder on each reset. I moved on to NES after a few years and played the hell out of Contra "up up down down left right left right a b select start" 30 lives!!! Ultima pissed me off and so did kings quest (controllers make good improvised weapons
But my all time favorite was definitely Final Fantasy (not the crap we call FF today) see here -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmfNGmv8eOw. My brother might be mad at me for kicking the NES by accident and losing his game still :/
Then I started playing dumb stuff on BBS with a P1 and a 14.4 modem -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Fax_modem_antigo.jpg
text based rpg games were like minecraft except without pictures and only a black chat window (north north north "You are hungry" north north "You can't go north" west west "You are hungry" FTS NEXT!). My favorite was an old BattleTech game it was based off the table top game. Had to email your turn files back and forth for multiplayer

shotgun'ed vodoo 2 cards FTW!! Doom 1/2 w/mods grapple hook and rail gun YES!!, TF (original) Mech Warrior, Blood 1/2, Star Craft, TFC( FKYAH) conc jump maps!!!, Counter-Strike! BAM HEAD SHOT!, MMO's of all kinds (a dark time for games), you know the rest....
What about RL?
I've been many things in the professional world, mostly revolving around technical work in the last 15 years.
I've been a support technician many times in many places.
I've been a programmer twice
I've been a system admin twice
I've been all three too many times to count
But before that I've had many super crappy jobs (I mean THE crappiest literally)
I'm also a musician, I've been in a few bands throughout the years none that you would have heard of. I play some of everything but pop music makes me die inside and rap/hip-hop is pointless for a guitar player so whatever is left is what i like to play.
Well.. that is some vague basics about me. Feel free to flame comment whatever. I might read it I might not
