Anyway, I'm of the opinion that this is a good first step toward having Bitcoin be recognized as an extremely viable currency by companies in general. KTHXBAI.

I know Overstock.com has been looking into accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment, as well as a few other online retailers. The issue I see with that is that the value of a Bitcoin is so high right now that if you used it for the purchase of a tangible item, you're running the risk of selling yourself short. I'm not even sure how the merchant would be able to translate that sort of transaction into something that can be seen as a profit at this time, anyway.
