Earthbound coming to Virtual Console in NA and Europe

This may not seem like big news to a lot of you, but it's pretty huge. It's exposing an entire market to Earthbound that could only legally expose themselves to it when it was released initially back in the early 90s. Almost 20 years later, and after many other releases that never made it out of Japan, this game is being re-released to a whole new generation of gamers in the west and Europe.
One of the biggest reasons this came about is because of the passionate fans that worked so hard to try to bring the game over. Until now, there hasn't been enough interest in the game to deal with the many, many copyright problems that the original release had. But now, because the fanbase for the Mother series has grown so much, they're finally doing it.
A day to rejoice for sure. This is fantastic news. If you have a Wii U, I would recommend getting this on Virtual Console when it comes out.
 
Now all they need is an official dub of Mother 3 on Wii U, and then all my orgasms will be lasknfdkabsukj.

Thanks Avi, a friend of mine was ready to pay top dollar to gift this to her bf.... I know cartridges are oldschool-vintage -fun but still, she'll be able to eat thus stay alive and pay that game at the same time thanks to your info :thumbsup:
 
Nintendo is pretty much going OVERDRIVE. ALL THE WEEGEE, Yoshi's Island 3DS, Link to the Past 2, and EARTHBOUND FINALLY COMING TO EUROPE!!!
