I don't really see the point of not buying the shirt if he can pay it back later, in both situations. Although if it is urgent that he pays it back, I can understand.

15 dollahs! You can get several Tee shirts for less or equal to that.

Not where I am. Most T-shirts here are, like, 10 to 12 bucks, and not as awesome.
