Now it's a tie, until one of the creatures die.

Both creatures are easily removed from play by several other cards, for the artifact, a destroy artifact card will suffice and for the demon a remove creature card or a combination of cards attacking with attached spells that force the card to defend will also work, to remove the card from play.

Well, the ruling is that if platinum angel is killed or removed from the battlefield, the effects of it are worn off. The game then continues as normal.

Now on the other hand....

Defeat is sometimes better than a game that goes on for like... forever.

yea, but there are tons of destroy target creature, or destroy target tapped creature cards to which this card is very vulnerable.
