So, a few things of note happened today.

First, I found some douchebag at my front door.

Then, I scored some freebies but lost one of the stick thingies that holds the figure in place so I engaged in Einstein'Level engineering

Waiting to board a C-17 to downrange.

C-17 somwhere over Southwest Asia. Flying in these things is awesome (especially combat takeoff and landing). It's like being on a rollercoaster, pulling G's. But the seating sucks. If you're not one of the lucky ***** in a jumpseat, you have no leg room, and you're stuck with a 65 lb ruck on your lap. Luckily the loadmaster on this flight let us put our rucks in the side aisles.

Random thought...I think I'm gonna pick up an AR-15 once I get back to the States.

I get to direct the user experience of a sotfware platform for a team of designers and developers in a few locations around the world for a relatively cool company that does stuff with stuff.

My actual title is less exciting ( Senior UX Developer ). I have, however become 'the chosen one' to lead all the other guys in the team as well as the general vision which is bullshit speak for I make lots of presentations, write lots of really cool documents and the company pays for me to drink nice cocktails in fancy places whilst looking as pretentious as possible.
