MC Server Hosting HELP!

i have a few questions about hosting a minecraft server. I will edit the initial post as they come up:

Q: How do you set a web address as the IP, and does that require Port Forwarding?

To change the IP open up server.properties and change it to whatever.
It probably still requires port fowardings, but I'd suggest Hamachi. It's easy and takes like 5 seconds.
