Mcafee Antivirus, what's a better replacement?

Is it even working? I got it years ago when my parents installed it to "protect" my computer. I'm trying to get rid of it, but whats a better antivirus?
 
Right now I'm using a combination of AVG Antivirus, Comodo Firewall, and Malwarebytes, and so far I've been liking it :)

...yeah, avast works best for me after trying AVG and MSE. Get it.
 
Microsoft security essentials if you are broke and need something free.

If you like watching porn on shady sites you should probably get something like ESET.

Stay away from Norton, Trend micro, and McAffee.

I have no personal experience with Avast so can't give you an honest opinion on it.
 
Alright! I switched! Can someone help me? I'm an administrator on my laptop, but for some reason I have no access to this

Avast hogs all the system resources.

I've always preferred AVG for that matter. And its icon looks infinitely better than Avast's.

I use AVG premium. I'm not sure how good the free version is, but the premium is definitely lightweight and has a full suite of computer issue solving tools.
 
McAfee.

SHUT. DOWN. EVERYTHING.

Then install Avast! :D

On another note. If Avast hogs all your system resources, you need a new PC.
