Need Help - Building a PC

Okay, so I've encountered a problem.

I've wired it all up, and I'm pretty much sure it's good,
Well. Except two problems

1) It takes about 15-25 times to press the power button, to get it to properly stay on. Usually, it'll turn on for a few seconds and then cut off.

2) WHen it does turn on, it shows nothing on my screen. All fans are running, and my Video Card is firmly in place. So I'm stumped as to what's wrong.

Tell me what I need to post, if you need information or Pictures to understand anything.

i have problems like this with my pc intermittently. Fairly sure it's a dodgy PSU at my end. Would suggest trying a spare that you know works to rule that out.

Are you getting any POST beeps as the system powers up? Are you sure that all the motherboard standoffs are screwed into the correct places on the case - i.e. ensure it's not grounding out by touching the back of the motherboard. Do you have a reset switch hooked up as well? I've seen instances where it was stuck in, causing the system to not POST.

/many/ things.

Cords in wrong holes, RAM not in properly, Video-Card drivers not properly installed.
It's all fixed now, infact, I was just playing Civ V a few moments ago~

thought this might be useful to everyone in any case
