If you have a dedicated internet connection I heard OnLive is pretty good (if you can afford the $10 a month).
After you pay the $10 monthly fee you get access to almost all of their 200 games. They are slowely expanding but it plugs into any laptop, PC, mac, T.V screen, and soon sum tablets.

If anyone has a dedicated internet I would suggest looking into it. I'm personally waiting for their library to get bigger (and get a job so I can pay the monthly cost).

So...you have a PS3...which means you have games for the PS3. Rather than buying an entirely new console and new games for the console, just buy a used PS3 somewhere. Next-gen consoles will be out in a couple of years anyways.
 
You should really take full consideration into investing into fixing/building a new computer for playing games on that. You'll then be the coolest kid on the block.
