I'm guessing Notch is using the same engine he used for the last competition. Because the game looks very similar in design to the potion and caves game he did last time.

It was a nice little gaem; I enjoyed it. It was very similar to Minecraft in many of its elements, but it was refreshing. If only C418 rocked up and made a soundtrack in an hour, for the game.
