Pumpkins, lightblocks, etc

I saw somebody had a pumpkin the other day from the alpha server, how do you get those blocks?

Also, are any of the other Halloween update blocks available? Like the block that lights up, etc. Are those possible to obtain?

The worlds are generated with random pumpkins scattered about. They are found on the surface and cannot be grown. There is only as many as there are generated. They might be hard to find now as other players probably already obtained them.
The light blocks you see at spawn are blocks you find from "The Nether" which you cannot go to in multiplayer. You would have to ask Wooty to spawn the blocks for you. I've already discussed with him an idea of spawning the "special" blocks on random parts of the map since we have no way of getting them. Will this be done? Probably not.
