Concerning updates 1, 2, 3, and 5, I don't think decompression and installation speeds should affect your opinion of a game, especially one in the beta stage. I remember back in the day that it used to take around 2 hours to install AoE 3 and Black and White 2 on my PC, and those were neat games in my opinion.

Concerning update 4, do you know why your internet connection was being "drained", and why your game crashed? I know it's easy to blame EA for problems with their games, but make sure that there's not a problem on your end first since those are easier to fix.

Updates 6 and 7 need moar details about the things that you liked or didn't like about the actual game. It seems like you made this thread just to complain about EA, granted that such complaints are sometimes justified.

Although I personally don't like some of the things they did with the new sim city, I disagree with the idea that the new game is a glorified Societies, that game was horrible with a non-existent simulation, while this one does justify the "sim" part in it's name, although it's debatable if it's a city it's simulating or a town/small neighbourhood.
