You know how you get that message when you enter a TF2 server? Its called a Message of the Day, or MOTD. Most servers use ads for MOTDs. Theyre VERY annoying. Recently, servers have implemented a way to maliciously implement a program to download malware on your computer that can hijack or steal your account. Be careful guys, days are getting dangerous and bumpy with new Ad Based server networks such ad bets.tf, saigns, and nightteam. Lots of drama and stuff going on. Try to stick to Firepowered, Trashedgamers, Valve, or skial servers. Again, be careful and don't use quickplay.
