I came across this Ted Talk two years ago when it was first posted. Directly following viewing this I looked up quite a bit of information about the brilliant speaker.

James Randi is the founder of the James Randi Education Foundation, or JREF for short, built a solid reputation as a magician and escape artist and has devoted his life to demystifying paranormal and pseudo-scientific claims around the world. JREF website!!

James Randi and his legendary skepticism has inspired countless others and has debunked countless claims by scam artists around the world. The Ted talk above is by far one of my favorite lectures he has ever given.
