Unread replies indicator not showing up?

the asterisk that is supposed to be next to a thread name , indicating unread posts, is not showing up.
Ill get a screenshot in an hour or two because i am busy at the moment.

I changed it so the thread goes "dim" when there are no unread posts.

I like this a lot more than the asterisk. I don't even recall noticing the asterisk on threads before. This is more eye-catching, to me.
