What do you think of the Age of Empires II HD Edition?

I don't see much improvement. The water and resolution clearly improved, but other than that I see no difference.

I know the game's graphics are all sprites so they can't add any of that fancy dynamic graphics, but they should at least have made the textures of the landscape look better... right?

Wasn't the whole purpose of the update to make it compatible with newer machines? I remember trying to play the original versions and one could not play without ending the explorer.exe process because of the bright red and green textures. I'm glad that they also increased resolution options because that game was fun.

Do you know if they improved the AI any?

I don't see any difference in AI, at least not yet maybe....
