Wishing to build a PC.

Hello T9k! I haven't been active at all recently, just haven't had the drive recently to be involved in a forum. However, I must call upon all of your sexiness and prowess, to help me solve this problem!

As you can probably tell with the title, I would like to build a PC. A gaming PC, to be exact. I only really play one game, and that's League of Legends. So I'm looking for a computer to run it at around 30+ FPS on high quality. Im not looking for the best of the best, but as long as it works a hell of a lot better than my current computer. I do have a mouse, keyboard and monitor, but I plan to get better ones soon :) Can anyone give me an approximate price tag? I would prefer not to order it all from newegg, as I plan to go out on boxing day and buy this all.

Thanks in advance, DrLASR.

500-800 rough guess, if a monitor isn't included? You say 30 FPS, but I'm assuming you mean more like 60.

60 would be great. But I'm playing on 5-15ish at the moment, and it's OK with me, hence why I said 30 would be fine. 60 FPS is unreal to me.

If you make sure the components you buy work together, you get a graphics card that costs more than $100, and you don't use onboard (motherboard graphics), then you should be fine.

I assume this is your first time building a PC? My advice.

Get. Help. While the internet is really useful and there are thousands of guides, there's nothing better than someone actually talking to you, who can guide you though all the problems you'll face.

But yes, You're pushing it at 500, but can get a rather decent one at 800 that if you balance the right parts, you can play any modern game that's out, other than the /really/ intense games.

Here you go. One at a 500 dollar price tag from newegg:

And an 800 dollar one that will be much faster:

The second one has an SSD for your OS and games and a HDD for storage. If you have no computer experience you need to find someone that will help you assemble. Most computer guys get enjoyment from building gaming computers so if you have a friend they might help you for free. Also I left out the operating system on both because you can basically install any operating system for free. Like... ummm Linux. Yeah, Linux.

Another thing is there are DIY kits that have everything you need but come disassembled. Would be easy to find something in your budget.

My pc I built a while back I did on a $400 budget and it runs LoL at around 40fps, so as wooty said, as long as the parts work with each other you won't need to go too high in price.

I have a friend who was thinking of getting one of these, what's wrong with em?

Really, the only benefit is their smaller size, which is usually useless because you're probably putting it in a midtower case anyways. It makes working with the wiring more cramped, reduces the number of pcix slots and other expansion options, in some (but not all) examples manufacturers use lower quality components to bring down the costs of their micro boards.

Also, full size ATX boards can be had for only 20-30 more.

I really like the link you gave me at the end, as I don't know all that much about computers. I looked through there, and I thought this was a good price for what it came with. Do you agree? As well as, is their anything missing? http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1418794

Looks pretty good for the price :)

Edit: Not sure if any of those include any (and if they do it's probably not very good) but you'll need some good thermal paste as well.

I havent been looking around much but I'd like to see how an APU holds up with LoL...they're neat.

Also, that newegg combo you sent would Decimate LoL at full settings.
