Being that I'm a geologist IRL, I decided to build an off shore oil rig.
It took 3 days to build this rig, but I realized that being an oil man is hard work. BP (Block Petroleum) found out about my rig, and since I have a monopoly on minecraft oil, I decided to sell since the price of oil is so high. It didn't take them long to change the signage from SP (Steven's Petroleum) to BP (Block Petroleum) Unfortunately, BP was more concerned with profits than safety.... leading to a catastrophic equipment failure
As you can see, quite a bit of oil has already been spilled into the Gulf of Minecraft. Fortunately, no oil has washed up on the beach. Accident reconstructionists were on the scene almost immediately, and a specialized remotely operated submersible was sent to the bottom of the sea to try and halt the unrestricted flow of oil. The following is a picture taken by the under sea probe:
As you can see, the cause seems to be a faulty blow-out preventer. Fortunately, there was no loss of life.
