So, because we are a very diverse family, and we all come from all over the place. I figured that I would create this thread to allow you all to show off where you are from. Post any pics from the city you live.


I'll start.

I currently live in Jacksonville, FL. The River City in north Florida.

Nürnberg is the city I live in.
It's beautiful and has a rich history. With a population of 500.000 people it's not too small and not too big.

Its a city of a little above 100,000 people (when the academic year is in session), and is within a valley surrounded by mountains and hills.

here's a pic of the university with the iconic "M" trailing up what is called Mount Sentinel.

as you can see, that's quite a hike. Plus, there's the L trail on another mountain next to it that is much more difficult to ascend.

Since it was beautiful weather I went on a photo OP to get some good pics of my glorious hometown that is Nijmegen.
But first a bit of geography and history.
Nijmegen is the oldest city in the Netherlands, dating back to the year 5, as the city Novio Magus, run by the Romans.

It lies on top of a push moraine, a landform formed by glacial processes, and also next to the Waal river.

Now I made some sweet panoramas which are ridiculously large so I hosted them to some obscure website.

I live in Arlington Texas. It is a painfully ordinary city with concrete, asphalt, strip malls, fast food and cramped suburbs in all directions. I've been here for 14 years now. Generally the only special thing is the retarded massive stadium, baseball stadium and six flags. The University is also cool I guess (not really), I go there.

The peninsula used to have a sea passage between it and the main land few 100 years ago. Also it is the center of the city.
That lake is a salt water lake and only appears to be above sea level, but isn't And those cliffs are the last thing between Italy and Croatia. Went scuba diving on the cliff side. Amazing, it has caves

All of these cities seem fun to visit. My city seems just ordinary. So I'll do my state.
One of the most popular places in Arizona is the Grand Canyon.

This is one of favorite my cities in Arizona. This is an old Lava Tube Tunnel in Flagstaff. It's real fun to hike down there.

I currently live in Habersham County, GA. in the town of Mt. Airy, but Since the towns are so small it would be boring to show you one town, mine is just a liquor store and a post office.

Tallulah Gorge, famous for whitewater rafting and some crazy dude who walked over it on a tight-rope without safety gear.

I love it here, however, I was originally born in Crawfordsville, IN.
