Collaborative Creative Design Server?

So, T9K has loads of amazing builders and creative artists (but also really short attention spans! :D ). So my thought is, why is there no server dedicated to bringing all the talented T9K builders together to work on one amazing project?

We could work on a project for 1-2 months until it dies, save it, upload it and release for the world to see, and then start a new project with a new theme.

Thoughts like this come to mind-

Or this-

Or even this-

Any thoughts or takers?

rsmv, scooterboo, and I (and a few transient helpers) have been working on one for a while...but it fell by the wayside a few months ago. I would honestly be very interested in this...except the project I want to do requires a very specific server set-up. I think I'll pass on this, but when I get home, I may discuss this with you.

I've been following the Imperial City build for awhile and it is beyond impressive/redonckulous. While I still prefer actually mining for my own resources, something like would be in the making for the next 2 years if they were actually having to take a pickaxe to the far depths of the world. That and not to mention some blocks (chiseled) are only available in VERY limited fashion (come on Mojang, make them craftable already). I do like the rapid development that creative provides though - especially if you have a couple folks working on a particular design. New ideas/changes/improvements can be bounced back and forth and realized far more efficiently.

I would love to join in this event, but big projects like this tend to die out rather quickly, and is a big undertaking. Nonetheless, count me in.

Actually, I think big projects keep people from becoming bored.

Sometimes, it makes people bored quicker, I know of alot of half finished megabuilds of mine just sitting around because I was too bored ot finish them.

I remember oozi's big crater on the Survival server and how fun that was, and we actually got it done quite quickly. I'd join in on this.

Well, it looks like there is enough people that would be willing to join in on this.

Problem is, I have do not have the resources no the necessary experience (or know-how) to run a server dedicated for something like this.

I think it'd be amazing if we could build this-

Ooh pretty.

I'd volunteer my services as a server host, but my servers are all in use at the moment, and I have no room to spare.

I'd offer my computer as a host, but it's already running one server (and I'd really prefer to not have to use the multiverse plugin). I guess I could run another server on a different port, and lower the memory limit of my regular server (currently 4gb).

Looks like Atlantis from Stargate: Atlantis. Would definitely be a complex thing to build, could also refine some interior details based on the show.

I'm in!
It'd be freaking amazing building Atlantis! It'd be hard doing the interior though... And what Texture Pack would we use?

I want to take part in this.
On all of the T9k survival maps, I've had projects that I was working on, never had enough time to complete them before it was either wiped or shutdown.
