I was waiting for this thread to appear. Unfortunately I can't play Dota 2 but I do play a lot of the original. I do have only 3 games so maybe you can see them ingame (account is [t9k]katphish). I do kinda suck though so try not to facepalm if you ever watch my games :p

I like playing Panda, Faerie, Drow, and Queen of Pain... my only three games are with the former.

What's your build for QoP? I want to start playing her soon : D

Also, my fav heroes are: Furion, Enchantress, Axe and Invoker. As you can see, I enjoy the Jungle a lot, so that's my preferred role. Also I am level 2 atm
 
I think it's hilarious that when I got my beta key I still hated MOBA's. And now over 110 hours in I can't stop playing this game.

This guy is a very popular Pro level caster/player who has been playing dota for 3-4 years. He makes great videos and gameplay commentaries and is generally fun to watch and VERY INFORMATIVE.

This place is basically where you want to go for general overviews and builds for your heroes and is always where you'll want to start when wanting to try out a new hero.

My favorite hero is Zeus. I have gotten really good with him despite his poor last hitting power and his nukes combined with his ulti is simply amazing. Such a fun hero to play.

My other 2 favorites are Venomancer with his wonderful wards and poisons, and for some reason I'm really good with Witch Doctor as well.

I love playing a solo mid heroes like Zeus the most. But I also very much enjoy playing support roles as well. I either haven't played enough as a carry or am just not terribly good as one. It's a lot of pressure to have the late game dependent on your early to mid game farm.

Honestly I'm worst at playing heroes that require micro. Heroes like Chen and Enchantress are really fun to play but I can't seem to split my mind to focus on my hotkeys and the game at the same time.

Hit me up anytime for a game. I think it'd be sweet to get some of us playing regularly so I wouldn't have to play with noobs constantly. And if you are a noob... Go to those channels I suggested, they're the best place for information on dota 2 in my opinion.
 
I like Witch Doctor cuz he sounds so funny. I just play him to have fun, not to win like a thousand games and get placed in high-tier servers.

I think for QoP you gotta get either Guinsoo, Linken's, Agha, or Orchid as one of her cores, though I'm not so sure. And then you can get one of the others as her Luxury. My personal preference is Guinsoo and Agha, so I can have a disable and have my ulti much more powerful.

Most of my builds are learned from playdota, but once in a while I like to experiment. Usually end up screwing up though :)

Dota 2 is a fun game, albeit I suck, but the store's layout is confusing and fuck atrocious, also the fact that it takes a hon interface theme leads me to not play it, just saying.

Yes, the store's interface looks horrible and I am never getting used to it. I'm forced to buy most of my items through searching for them which is quite slow. I do wish there was an alternate interface more similar to the Dota of WC3.

I have mixed feelings about the layout, but I guess I'll just have to re-learn where all the items are anyway.
 
I redid my hotkeys and found a good build for Rubick and now I'm actually pretty good with him. He's fun to play but is a bit squishy and has some manna problems early game. But his spell stealing ultimate is so awesome.
