FPS Games that would interest you more than CoD!

I gotta say Unreal Tournament 3 kinda made my penis soft
and by that I mean it was a bit disappointing and the major reason is
because the game play felt rather stiff. Movements was slower, the aiming
felt chunky, weird and not smooth like UT2004, the vehicles also felt chunky
and not flexible. I tried messing with the mouse sensitivity but even when
the mouse was sensitive it felt weird and chunky, and then when I turned it
down it was too slow. This is most likely just my problem but in any case
it didn't feel like UT2004, I dunno, maybe it wasn't suppose to. It looked great
though, Rom di Prisco did a good job on the soundtrack as always. The game
was a good effort imo. (or maybe not?)

I think this sums it up prettty well...

The Unreal Editor that came with the game however was excellent. They made
many improvements that made it so much easier to use. My only problem with it
was I couldn't seem to access the full catalog of static meshes. It took me like
hours to even find how to access the meshes and when I found it the list was really
conservative. I had to import new meshes which was also kind of a pain in the ass,
not to mention if you try to make your own meshes using Maya and then importing
them into the editor.

I had high hopes about Farcry 3 and it seems the multiplayer will be quite ordinary or bad.. I still have hope about the storyline and the tactical approaches in single player. What's your gut instinct on that game?

My instinct? Well, i just hope it would be a good game. :)

Ut3 wasn't worked on for long actually, EPIC is busy working on unreal engine 4 and Ut4 witch is obviously gonna come out after the engine (yay). Maybe Ut3 was just a little candy treat.

(facepalm) I'm talking about first person shooters, not zombie games. >.>
MANY ZOMBIE GAMES ARE FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS.

Are you sure you were playing it on high quality and stuff because for me the movement of UT3 is incredibly smooth.
It is in fact one of the better games that I have played in terms of movement and sensitivity.

Planetside 2. Forget about tiny maps and 6v6. Imagine a whole continent and 1000vs1000vs1000

I'd like to add my favorite FPS: HALF effin' LIFE.
HL1, HL2, HL2: Ep1, HL2: Ep2.. ALL OF THEM.

Minecraft. You have arrows, so it's a shooter, and it is first person. Therefore, I say it's a fps.

It is awesome.

The best one ever.

It's a pretty shitty action game. Combat isn't the best part of Minecraft.

3. Halo Reach
I love Halo, like ut3, it boasts a legendary futuristic setting. The game play in Halo is not at all similar to other games, but seems far more strategic and tactical. You play as Spartan.... a genetically modifed super soldier in a mission to fight the invasive covenant empire. The covenant believe that the humans are "Unholy" and must be punished... Thus begins the Human-Covenant wars. In the game, you fight covenant and flood which is a parasitic life-form that was released by accident on Installation 04 when covenant forces took down The Pillar of Autumn. Of course this did not occur in Reach but it is a precursor to what I just explained. So if you like to wear MJLONIR battle armor... Play Halo. If not... Play Halo anyways.

Read up on these games before posting >.>
