Planetside 2 Squad

I'd like to suggest getting the MAX suit out of the squad, and replacing it with another class. The MAX has a cool down timer on it, and you have to get to a resupply station if you want to switch to it. In hectic battle situations, your going to die. A lot. So I recommend having 1 or 2 people of another class that can double as MAX's, rather than having a permanent MAX position.

I was actually considering the MAX be made into an infiltrator (sniping side, not infiltrating side) mix class, as the sniper will be back closer to a resupply station when needed. The biggest thing is that the MAX can mow everything down, and they work amazingly for clearing multiple targets out of a hotspot. The key is to have an escort with them though, preferably two- An engineer and a light assault so that they can be healed, resupplied and protected on the run. There is a lot more to it, but having a MAX will be crucial for assaulting areas.

Dibs on bullet sponge class whenever that is released.

If, say, a casual gamer wants to play with you guys, will that person(s) be relegated to some shitty spot because they're not in this squad? How do you plan to handle the fluctuations of people hopping on and playing at random times?

The people who hop on and play are welcome to join us, but there will be stipulations. While we will have the main squad, most of the people hopping on can either be put in a different squad in the platoon for organizational purposes (four squads to a platoon, 48 people total) or as long as they are willing to follow some direction, roll with us. They won't be put in critical spots for obvious reasons, but if they're wanting to play as a squad for a bit, they are more than welcome to hop in with us. Training sessions are of course the only time we will truly work alone as the entire focus is on Teamwork, and we don't need those distractions yo. If you can make the meet, and you want to be a permanent member of the squad, we will of course try to work around your schedule.

While the first meet is mandatory (for the official squad members), you won't get kicked out for missing a meet or two later, as long as you make it to a majority of them and can keep up, then it is on you. So if you're looking for that competitive play, I would suggest you try for the first meet. If it doesn't seem like it will work out, than you don't have to be a main member of the squad, you can hop in whenever, although you won't have a set class or "duty" if you do that, so don't complain if we ask you for something you didn't want to be.

Me from six years ago would have been so turned on by this.

Present me doesn't like it so much.

I'll just be a casual player, and if I'm on when you guys are training or whatever, I guess I'll take my ball and go play somewhere else. It basically sounds like whenever you guys are training, don't expect to play with you, unless I want to be a part of the "for serious" team. Couldn't you have a squad for the hardcore players and a squad for the casual, non-committal types? Granted, my game crashes whenever someone blinks at me in-game, but I would like to hop on and play with other T9kers if there are any others on, and not have to worry about being kicked because I'm not part of "gung-ho" team.

In cases like that, we can make a platoon and give you guys a separate squad to play in if you want. I will get with Patch and see what she is willing to do, as she is more of a casual player and maybe she wants to run a second, more chillax squad. She is already second in command, so unless she has a problem with it, I don't see it being an issue.

So basically, I take my squad to play more casually, basically how we've played before, and then if you guys are having some difficultity in a region we can still come and help.

I hate to double post like this, but we need at least two more members or this won't happen.

I just need to know times when to be online and what role I need to take....then I will be there so long as I am able.

Edit: just went back and read the thread again....I would probably work best for Patchii's squad.

If you get someone as a dedicated Max, then they can spend some Certs getting the acquisition timer down, so it's not a terrible idea.

I joined Vanu on Jaeger and had no clue what I was doing but I killed a lot of people.
