Recommendation: If you have a personal portal, disable it for the time being. For the portals that can't be closed, stay clear of them. If you see an angry pigman, RUN AWAY. Every hit resets agro, if they aren't one-shots.

Maybe if u have the top admins go to the nether and use killall command. That may get rid of all the agro pigmen

Killing all the aggro'd pigmen doesn't reset the aggro timer. You have to wait it out, then a /butcher command will work.

Xecutioner and bothan can herd them all into one small spot and I will deal with them then.

I gave up on crossgrading (for some reason it didn't work), so I just backed up everything and did a fresh install with the 64 bit disk. Working on moving over sql database (1.1 gb of info), then checking to see if everything is stable.

As a heads up with zombie pigmen:

In 1.8, their aggro timer is MUCH more forgiving now. They will forgive within a minute of the attack; however, you need to get out of their aggro distance for them to stop attacking you. Continuing to attack and kill them does nothing for the aggro timer but reset it. If you are having issues with them, just run away and they'll leave you alone (eventually).

FYI permissions are broken in the nether, as well as in spawn. No one can use minecarts/rails/enderchests/etc in the end or at spawn currently.
