The Federation: City of Cities

But if we do build into the middle of an ocean, we should have boat travel instead of rail. Rail to boats, and boats to city? :)

If the WorldHub is in the middle of the sea, nothing really changes.
We still have rails.

But the harbour idea can be worked on more. ;)

one questions about the rails: Should the worldhub station be one line that goes out, then meets at a juction to go to the different towns, or would each town have its own rail, and they run parallel until you meet land?

All depends where the cities are compared to WorldHub. If multiple cities are in the same general direction they can all meet at a station, and that station can go to WorldHub, that way it saves rails and materials.

I'm thinking one rail goes to the Hub from Spawn and gets redirected to individual cities from there.

Me and Vorsprung are discussing rails and other tid bits right now. Things will become public once more of this is planned out. The rail system will be good though, and if it crosses water it will either go over it via bridge or under/through it via tunnel. :)

It's called the WorldHub because that's what it is - a hub.
All train lines will gravitate from the WorldHub outwards. However, if towns are placed in such a way that it is more convienient to have a branch off the main spawn line, then that's easily fixed.

Rail system is underground.
Spawn line will be claimed.
Spawn line will be 1 chunk wide.
Above ground on the spawn line will be paved as a highway.
Ground underneath spawn line will be utlilised for farming purposes.
The highway will extend onto the bridge and continue onto WorldHub.
